回复 :许德（林家栋 饰）是智能尊者在许下了“地狱未空，誓不成佛”的愿望后投胎转世而来，许德和名医孙女凤（陈妙瑛 饰）两情相悦，而文瑞公主（汤盈盈 饰）亦为许德的才情所倾倒，命他考取举人。许德拒绝了文瑞公主的命令，惹恼了后者，并且直接导致了孙女凤的死亡。伤心的许德在老布袋（秦煌 饰）的建议之下出家为僧，希望能通过自己的善举使孙女凤重生。在此过程中，太宗（张兆辉 饰）受到了许德的感化，文瑞公主更是忏悔了自己的罪行，出家为尼，谁知许德的种种举动使太后（白茵 饰）大为不满，导致魔僧昊天（单立文 饰）在人间为非作歹，涂炭生灵。

回复 :本片是一部十分有趣的惊悚喜剧，在牢牢把握观众的同时，影片中新奇神秘的事件也吊足了观众的胃口。故事的背景是一个保守并迷信的小村庄，信奉婆罗门教的马诺吉守护着祖庙，虽然大家都说祖庙一直闹鬼。某天，马诺吉定居美国的侄子阿胡加及侄媳薇蒂雅回到小村庄，并要在祖庙住上一阵子。薇蒂雅无意间打开了一扇锁着的房间，于是，奇怪的事情开始发生。祖庙真的闹鬼了。马诺吉请了一些江湖术士驱鬼降魔，可并不见什么效果。大家开始抱怨。幸运的是，在薇蒂雅的一个精神病学专家的帮助下，他们找到了真凶并揭开了谜题。本片作为一部将喜剧及惊悚元素融合得很好的作品，导演从不同的角度审视了藏于人类内心的超出我们想象的精神层面，是一部不可多得的惊悚喜剧影片。

The ultimate question becomes: if mass media can change the world, can cinema miraculously restore it?Just like the monument to bricolage created by its characters, LOLA is an inspired conceit in the style of Guy Maddin, Woody Allen’s Zelig (1983) and Peter Jackson’s Forgotten Silver (1996). It’s a surreal romp through scratches, glitches and speculative possibilities.
