年轻女孩真理（菊池亚希子饰）乘坐渡轮回到了阔别已久的故乡——西伊豆某小镇，亚洲区她偶然邂逅前男友阿治（小林ユウキチ饰），亚洲区两人自然地打着招呼，随后徜徉在萧条清冷的小镇街道上，真理向对方讲述着她回来的理由：“因为喜欢这里的风景，所以不知不觉就回来了，我打算在海边某个地方开个刨冰铺。”\r阿治对此感到诧异，因为真理毕竟是一个小有成就的舞台美术工作者。但是女孩似乎已下定决心，什么也无法让她动摇。说干就干，真理很快找好了刨冰铺的地点，并且亲自刷油漆、选购家具、忙活装修。\r某天，一位不速之客突然到来。对方名叫小初（三根梓饰），是真理妈妈（天衣织女饰）大学好友的女儿。小初脸上有着明显的烧伤，此时相依为命的祖母刚刚去世，她的内心满是疮痍。第二天早上，真理注意到小初站在厨房泡咖啡，结果小初突然哭了起来。真理意识到对方内心的痛苦，于是用言语予以鼓励，并希望对方能和她一起准备开张事宜。\r次日，真理的刨冰铺终于开张了，虽然可以点的只有简单的几样小吃，但她们的真诚赢得了顾客的好评。童年的味道终于回来了，真理似乎如愿以偿，不过她的故事才刚刚开始……
