年轻气盛的牛仔Beauregard Decker（唐·默里饰），年午和他较富社会经验的朋友Virge（亚瑟·奥康纳饰）一起坐巴士前往参加全国牛仔竞赛，年午中途在酒店中发现表演女郎Cherie（玛丽莲·梦露饰），惊为天人，马上展开热烈的追求。但他那种蛮横无礼的示爱方式却唐突佳人，使她想尽办法逃脱牛仔的求婚。最后在巴士休息站上，牛仔被友人打醒，才改变作风讨得佳人芳心。
