一名年轻女子的尸体被发现在她的住所。尸体被肢解，尼克房间没有强行闯入的痕迹，尼克也没有证人，一起完美的犯罪。拉萨勒警官负责该案的侦破工作，尽管他的妻子刚去世不久，他还沉浸在丧妻之痛中。血腥残忍的杀人案仍在继续，随着案情调查不断深入，拉萨勒发现一名叫纳尔维克的盲人很可疑。只是他有着完美的不在场证明。拉萨勒确信这个盲人就是凶手，只是，怎么证明呢？两人之间的博弈由此展开......
